Merlot is a red grape variety, whose name derives from the special love that
the blackbird has for its berries. This grape is now diffused in many countries,
but it expresses its great qualities only in Sicily where there are many
interesting wine-growing interpretations of Merlot, because it shows another
aspect of his versatile personality, adapting itself to a strong solar footprint
climate. It also presents hot and spicy flavours, intense and persistent
aromas.
